Senior Players Celebrate End of a Successful Season

On Saturday 2nd April the players were very grateful to Jason and Anna Kedgley for a great meal and massive thanks to Sabrina and her team.

On the night four Club Blazers were presented to George Wheeler, Ed Forsyth, Rob Forsyth, Doug Cooper.
These were presented for services to the Club both on and off the field; George and Ed both making over 150 appearances for the Club. Rob, who despite being injured has stayed involved organising all the kit and equipment the Seniors need and Doug Cooper has given years of commitment to the Club as 1st XV Coach.

Second XV Captain Harry Smith presented his Player of the Season to Kern Bush-Nelson and the 2nd XV Most Improved Player went to Dan Westley.

Director of Rugby Richie Andrews then presented 1st XV Player of the Season to Sam Foreman and most improved player to Toby Collister. But also Player of the Season 2019-2020 to the current 1st XV Captain Reilly Franklin-Talbot pictured with Club Chairman David Forsyth.

Lastly it was down to Alex Forsyth to present Harry Smith with Clubman of the Year. Harry has done a great job keeping the 2nd XV going this season as we have struggled, like every club post covid, to retain numbers. We have used over 70 players in the 2nd XV this season but always managed to field a team when other clubs were giving away walk overs.

It was a great night to celebrate a great season. Everyone is looking forward to next season and our first in London 1.

Richie Andrews
Director of Rugby
